The purpose of the project was to transform an obsolete area of a civic center to a “Safety Experience Education and Cultural Experience Center” for preschool children. I changed the name at the main entrance using a wide variety of color. I did this to convey the concept of various experiences. I also redesigned the exterior wall to embody healthy and vibrant children by adding exterior color panels on the original boring white tile.
I left the existing canopy of red steel as is. The red and yellow panel on the wall harmonize with the red canopy and highlight the symbol of the pavilion at the same time. This project was carried out under the auspices of Cheonan City Hall, and has been actively operating until now as a free exhibition for citizens since it officially opened in 2010.
